Michael Dunn

Senior Pastor
Pastor Mike has 30 cumulative years of local church ministry (4 churches; one church twice). Born and raised in Arkansas, he completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree (BA) at Arkansas State University, and went on to achieve a Master of Divinity (MDiv) & Doctorate of Ministry (DMin) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He also spent 4 years as a Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) staff member at the Ohio State University, and the University of Georgia.  Pastor Mike has been married since 1980, has 5 children (2 boys/3 girls), and 3 granddaughters. His favorite hobby is bass fishing.

Bill Thomas
Associate Pastor
Pastor Bill Thomas and his wife, Colleen, have five boys and two girls, by birth and adoption, and have 2 grandchildren, so far.  Bill and Colleen met at Cortland State and have been married since 1990.  They served with Campus Crusade for Christ for 20 years; 12 of which were serving in Ukraine.  Bill received his M.Div. from Redeemer Seminary in Dallas, TX in 2011.  Before coming to join the staff of GCF, he served for four years as Associate Pastor at a PCA church in Waterloo, IL.  His favorite hobbies are enjoying his family, being an ice hockey goalie, drinking strong coffee, and sitting around a camp fire.

John Hartman
Associate Pastor
Originally from Hot Springs SD, Pastor John holds a BS in Natural Science and Education from the University of MN, and his Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary, (St. Paul MN).  Pastor John has served in numerous Pastoral roles over the years, including Assistant Pastor of Houghton Wesleyan Church, (Houghton NY), and Senior Pastor of Fillmore Wesleyan Church, (Fillmore NY). He served 14 years in the United States Air Force (USAF) as an officer; pilot and classroom instructor.  Pastor John and his wife, Joanne, married in 1963 and have two children, Brenda and Daniel, 7 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchilden.. He has lived in SD, KS, MN, GA, NV, TX and NY – God is good!

Mark Brumagin
Assistant Pastor of Worship and Music
 
Biography
Prior to entering into full-time ministry, Mark served as a music teacher in Pennsylvania public schools.  Since 2006, he has served as music director, worship leader, and worship pastor in several churches in Pennsylvania and New York.  Mark has been married to Erin since 2003 and is the proud father of three daughters.  Mark’s desire is to see people worship the God who is worthy of our praise.

Nick
Nick Dunn
Associate Pastor 
Nick was born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, as the middle of 5 children. He holds a BS in History Education from Cedarville University with a MS in Divinity from Liberty University. Nick enjoys travel, and has spent time in Israel and Europe. He is an active fan of the Pittsburgh sports teams, and enjoys the outdoors.  He and his wife, Alysha have been married since 2013.
 

 

 
 
 
Joelle
Joelle Zimmerman
Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastor
Joelle is passionate about building up Christian marriages & families. She is a former MOPS mentor, Women’s Bible study teacher, and currently leads Mission Family, a ministry of GCF with her husband, Jamie. Jamie and Joelle have three sons who are currently serving as officers in the USMC, three daughter-in-laws, and a granddaughter! Joelle is responsible for church family communications, managing the church calendar, (including requests for facility use), administrating pastoral care, (including church mailing list), and assisting the Senior Pastor with special projects.  Joelle holds a B.S. in Human Development &  Family Studies from Cornell University, and a MS in Counselor Education from SUNY Brockport.

Andrea Niggli
Children’s Ministry Director
Andrea joined the Ministry Team at GCF in 2008, after working in the public school system. Andrea studied business education at SUNY Oswego.
Andrea and husband Chad married in 2004 and have three children, Levi, Daniel and Sadie.  Growing up in Homer Baptist,
and having a passion for teaching children, made the Director of Children’s Ministry positions a great fit!

Lynne Sypher
Equipping Ministries Coordinator
Lynne graduated from the University of Buffalo with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She received training from Campus Crusade for Christ in bible study methods, small group leadership and evangelism. Lynne has been married to her husband, Paul for 30 years! They live here, in Cortland. Paul and Lynne have three sons: Matt (Katelyn), Brian (Elissa), Marcus, and one grandson.  They also have one Black Lab: Lando!
Lynne’s passion is to help people grow closer to the Lord by applying his word to life experiences.
 
 
 
Susan
Susan Jacobs
Receptionist
Susan has been attending GCF since 2009, and started as the Receptionist in August of 2013. Hers is often the first, friendly voice you will hear when calling the office. She stays busy answering the phones, overseeing the Van Ministry, updating Missions information, assisting Ministry Leaders and completing mailings. Susan lives in Groton with her husband, Tom. They have 3 children, 1 son in law, and 2 granddaughters. Susan went to TC3 for nursing and has worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in doctor’s offices, but also spent many years as a Stay-at-home Mom.

Mikel Withers
Facilities Caretaker
Mikel, a former Deacon and Board Member, has been on staff here, at GCF, since 2011. He has been married for 21 years, has 2 teenaged kids, and spent 8 years as a Stay-at-Home Dad.  Mikel enjoys studying Apologetics, debating Theology and Philosophy, and listening to Podcasts on those subjects.
